History:

The History of the Tunnel of Fear go's back nearly eleven years ago, the first home haunt created ( under a different name ) was located in Murray city. the name then was the House of Horrors, it ran only Halloween night and was a walkthroughout the backyard, it featured no particular theme and lasted two years.

After that the location was moved to Sandy city and the name was changed again to the House of Screams. This lasted four years and this time ran both inside the home and in the backyard. It was the final year in this location that a yearly favorit was formed: The Dot Room. It was constructed completely out of raw materials and halloween collectable items, though we had no real theme still, it did create a good amount of scares.

Once again the family moved, this time to West Valley City, We re-opened a new haunt and with various themes. the haunt consisted of only 5 rooms and the final being Freddy's Nightmare. The name still changed and was now called the Terror Tour. The idea was that a guide would lead you into danger and the guests participated in different acts, this idea was dismissed after one year due to customers destroying props.

Finally the haunt came to a new name and a varied theme with new and classic favorites from years past. the Tunnel of Fear was originally designed to be a cave-like inviornment where when going into different caverns, you would find a new horrible incodent or creature. Though the idea was abondoned the name stuck, and for the remainder of its life the Tunnel of Fear ran in the same location creating a home and publicity each year.

In 2006, the city of West Valley had shut us down. the reasoning was that it was too big for the location and did not carry overhead sprinklers, though it was an outdoor event and the idea of overhead sprinklers seemed rediculous, they remaind stern and would not allow us to re-open.

For the past 3 years the Tunnel of fear has been nothing more than a grand memory, however we are trying our best to re-open, though the likely hood of it in West Valley is slim. If anyone has Ideas/Offers or location thoughts, please let us know by entering a comment in the fear blog section - thank you
