TUNNEL OF FEAR Secrets
Secrets
The following is unknown facts about the Tunnel of Fear.

Every wall, floor and painted area, down to the props and large rooms are hand painted with a brush. Here we see a room that is being painted, areas to the back are not dry yet. It takes us nearly a month and a half to finish painting it all. While others are busy building on one room, the rest are busy painting a room that was finished putting up.

All drawings are originals done by the owner

Those who help construct the haunt leave their mark is one way or another, They are located all through haunt, yet are rarely seen by guests, they are in plane site, but are in areas that most people don't notice. This one was on the ceiling directly after leaving the vampire room.

Although we practice safety at all times, somethimes accidents do happen. The biggest one of all was a laps of judgement while construting. The owner was cutting wood with a circular saw and the board began to slip off of the cutting table, he reached out and grabbed it and the saw slid accrossed his hand. 38 stitches later he returned that night to continue building.

The floating heads in a hallway are actually plastered faces of the builders

After blue-prints are drawn, a cardboard model is made, this is a section of it. using this we can plan our lighting and actors positions. We also use the model to demonstrate escape routes and problem situations that might occure durring the operation. The yellow area in the corner shows the 35 foot circled room where our clown tent will be.

One of our biggest joys is scarring each other, while working on the haunt or taking a break we often try and scare someone. Not one person who has worked on the haunt has gone un-scared by someone at some point.

Because our haunt is outside, absolutely everything must be water-proofed. the fall weather always brings strong winds, rain and snow; because of that we must enforce everything so it will hold and waterproof it using different manners.
